The name of the project is „Cinema City“. It's a city dedicated to all aspects of cinema and movie making. That includes building movie sets (installations..) for movie making, one or more movie theatres and educational facilities.

​

Cinema City will be built on two floors. On the ground will be a kind of cellar or arsenal for the movie installations. It's the ground floor because I didn't want it to be under water.

​

On the the first floor is the actual city. It'a modern futuristic city, where you can watch all that movies which are created in the ground area. In the middle is a plaza. You can use this plaza for all kind of events: Watching coded live movies or machinimas, as well as music performances, theatre, ballet, Djing etc.

The movie installation in the cellar or arsenal are in a lot of boxes. I will fill these boxes with small installations for the movies. But: My idea is, that I will ask Second Live artists to fill it with their art, and my part will be to make Coded Live Movies with these art pieces. And everybody is invited to make movies with that installations too, especially the artists themselves.

Note: I need at least one side of the sim opened to the sea, because a part of the city has a promenade alongside the beach.

A part of the city is already on a local sim on my local harddisk. So I don't have to begin by zero.

Der Name des Projektes ist „Cinema City“. Es ist eine Stadt, die allen Aspekten des Kinos und des Filmemachens gewidmet ist. Das beinhaltet das Bauen von Filmsets (Installationen..) für die Produktion eines Films, ein oder mehrere Kinos und Räume für die Filmausbildung.

 

Cinema City wird auf zwei Ebenen gebaut. Unten wird eine Art Keller oder Arsenal für die Filminstallationen sein.

Oben wird die eigentliche Stadt sein. Es ist eine moderne futuristische Stadt, wo man sich die Filme anschauen kann, die auf der unteren Ebene ihre sets haben. In der Mitte ist ein Platz. Man kann diesen Platz für alle Arten von Events nutzen: Coded Live Movies oder Machinimas angucken, als auch für Musik-, Theater- und Balletveranstaltungen.

 

Die Filminstallationen auf der unteren Ebene sind in einer Reihe von Boxen. Ich werde diese Boxen mit Installationen für die Filme bestücken. Meine Idee ist aber auch, daß ich SL Künstler fragen werde, ob sie jeweils eine Box mit ihrer Kunst ausfüllen würden. Und jeder ist eingeladen, Filme mit diesen Kunstsets zu machen, die Künstler selbst mit eingeschlossen.
